Dr. Xiaohui Cui's research interests include swarm intelligence, cyber security, social computing, GPU computing, agent based modeling and simulation, emergent behavior engineering, human/social cognitive modeling, sensor network, high performance computing, information retrieval and knowledge discovering. He has authored numerous publications in these areas. He is a member of ACM, North American Association for Computational Social and Organizational Sciences and IEEE computer society. He served as program committee member and special session chair in several International conferences. Currently, Dr. Cui's research focuses on developing new computational algorithms inspired from biological models to meet multiple national crucial challenges, includes large volume information stream analysis on GPU, swarm based cyber intrusion detection, terrorist threat-vulnerability analysis, agent based traffic simulation, adaptive extremism agent social cognitive modeling, and intrutor behavior modeling in the cyber system.
